What: Local Agency and Vendor Management leaders assess and prioritize multiple responsibilities. They must do this while maintaining motivation in a constantly changing environment. During this three-day managers’ workshop WIC LA Coordinators and VMA Directors will have an opportunity to enhance and build their management skills. Participants will explore complex change management strategies on how to keep themselves and staff motivated throughout upcoming changes. Examples of the collaborative relationships formed over the past year between Local Agencies and Vendor Management Agencies will be showcased, as well as examples of how data can be used to guide program improvement. Breakout sessions will be offered on topics such as social media, supervising in a union environment, developing a strategic outreach plan, conflict management and how to interpret and use policies as a management technique. Participants will leave highly motivated and ready to tackle the changes that lie ahead.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Examine the role of change management within the WIC program
- Discuss how to maximize key data and metrics for program improvement
- Identify key opportunities for Vendor Management/Local Agency collaboration
- Utilize strategies for maintaining motivation as a leader
