Get to know our NYS WIC team! Below are short biographies and contact information for our NYS WIC trainers and program staff.


Our Staff

Project Director: Kelley King, Ms. King serves as the Project Director of the WIC Training Center at CAI. She oversees billing and cirriculum development. She acts as the multitasking Manager of CAI’s Albany office.  From registration to webinar facilitation, she oversees the many facets of the Training Center’s daily logistics.  With an eye for excellence, Ms. King readily responds to trainees, provides ongoing technical assistance, and consistently works towards program improvement.  Ms. King maintains a smooth operation not only in the office but also out in the field as she has masterfully established a vast network of training locations. Email Kelley at

Nutrition Training and Development Specialist: Maria Dentino, RD, CDN, CLC served at the WIC local agency level in Western NY as a qualified nutritionist for 9 years and breastfeeding coordinator for 5 years, before starting to work with CAI in 2017. After attending several of CAI’s high quality trainings over the years, she is excited to have made the transition from trainee to trainer. She has a heart for WIC families and believes providing compassionate care is the best way to help people move toward wellness. She is fascinated by the behavior change process and how people learn, and enjoys implementing this knowledge in her role in training development. Email Maria at

WIC Trainer & Breastfeeding Specialist: Erica Underwood MS, RD, CLC, CDN serves as the WIC Trainer & Breastfeeding Specialist for CAI. Over the past four years Erica has provided education to varied audiences on the following contracts, grants, and projects as both a trainer and professional staff; the Child and Adult Care Food Program, Eat Well Play Hard in Day Care Homes, Creating Breastfeeding Friendly Communities, Albany Community Action Partnerships, Farm to Preschool, and the Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children. Most recently Erica worked at the Schenectady County WIC Clinic as the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Coordinator. Erica is passionate about providing education on breastfeeding, infant and maternal health topics and hopes to continue to grow the professional competencies of all WIC clinic staff across NYS and Nationally. Administrative Assistant/Receptionist: Amber Robich 
brings a fresh, smiling face to the Albany office. Amber works part time and provides a friendly, welcoming voice to all that call the office. Amber works very closely with the registration system and printing of training materials. Amber brings great organizational skills to the WIC team. Questions about training or registration?
